The Summit Effect

Where are they now? Check out updates from Brandon Adams Summit alumni.

David Mann
After playing sparingly at North Carolina State University, David Mann reached out to coach Upshur and the recruiting summit committee to connect him to programs to Transfer. In the pre-transfer portal era, having the support and coach connections were critical, and Mann ultimately transferred to Johnson C. Smith University where he transferred and was a three year starter. Today, after graduating from JCSU, Mann now is in leadership for a major tech company, Salesforce, living in New York city.
Jerry Carter
Jerry Carter was a former all-state player, who signed his national letter of intent to play at Morehouse College after attending the inaugural football recruiting summit. Carter eventually transferred to Lane College where he played defensive back and started for the Dragons. He graduated from Lane College in 2013.
Ahmad Smith
Smith, a late bloomer, attended the recruiting summit, and signed with Atlanta Sports Academy, which is a now defunct prep school that once served as a post-graduate program that housed serval future Division I and NFL players. After completing his season, Smith earned a scholarship with FCS Program Indiana State, where he was a starting defensive end. Upon graduation, Smith became successful in coaching, breaking more barriers, recently becoming a defensive assistant coach with the University of South Carolina in just his 5th year as a coach.
Everrett Ransom Jr.
Ransom attended the recruiting summit and received more than 10 scholarships on the spot, after a successful career at East Coweta High School. He signed with Livingstone College, and became a four-year starter at wide receiver, where he earned CIAA Offensive Player of the Week on several occasions.
